AUDIOVISION - "Focus" - Biography 2010
Christian Liljegren, known for his work in Narnia and Divinefire, started up Audiovision during 2003 as his solo project. The first album The Calling was released in late 2004 in Europe and Japan, and was produced by Lars Chriss (Lion’s Share, Road to Ruin). The guest list on The Calling was impressive and featured among others Bruce Kulick (Kiss, Grand Funk Railroad), Jeff Scott Soto (W.E.T., Talisman, Yngwie Malmsteen, Journey), Mic Michaeli (Europe), Tony Franklin (Blur Murder, Whitesnake) and Mats Levén (Treat, At Vance, Krux, Yngwie Malmsteen).
After the release of The Calling the demand for more Audiovision grew stronger, also many show offers started to come in. In 2009 Christian decided to form a full touring and recording band, and to end Audiovision as a studio project.
During 2009 the first shows were played in Sweden, Norway and Germany, and in the summer Audiovision started to record their second album Focus with producer Erik Mårtensson (W.E.T., Eclipse) overseeing the work. After a few months of intense recordings as well as the crystal clear mastering done by Micke Lind (DIO, Candlemass, Talisman) the album was finished in December 2009.
In January 2010 Audiovision joined Stryper (US) on the European leg of their 25th anniversary tour and played shows in both Germany and Sweden.
Focus is a first class melodic hardrock/metal album and fans of Rainbow, Whitesnake, Dio, Gotthard, Europe and Stryper will for sure love it! Songs like “Invitation”, “Keep the Fire Burning” and “We Are Not Alone” will definitely become big hits and live favorites, so keep an eye out for Audiovision and Focus! This is only the beginning...
For the songs “Invitation” and “Keep the Fire Burning” Audiovision will shoot music videos together with video producer Ronny Hemlin (Scar Symmetry, Steel Attack).
