Dependency - "Convicted" EP (Digital Release)

Blood & Ink Records - May 25, 2010

May 25th, 2010

"Convicted" EP

Dependency’s Convicted sees the band expanding upon their acclaimed demo, pushing their music further both sonically and lyrically. Recorded with Drew Fulk, co-produced by Fulk and Joe Musten (of Advent / Beloved), and mixed/mastered by Jay Maas (of Defeater and engineer for Verse, Have Heart), the impeccable recording quality captures the band’s powerful emotional range regularly exhibited during their live shows. Reminiscent of Life In Your Way, Strongarm, and Blood & Ink alumnis Saints Never Surrender, Dependency are poised to pick up the torch as reigning kings of melodic Spirit-filled hardcore.

DEPENDENCY - "Convicted" EP - Biography 2010

Hailing from Tennessee, Dependency have quickly made a name for themselves since forming in mid-2009. Joining forces after the demise of their previous band and with the addition of drummer Charles Miller to their ranks, Kyle Fesmire, David Hobbs, John-Michael McCasland, and Nicholas Brown were again playing music together… this time more prepared to take their music and message to a larger audience.

After recording a demo and playing throughout the Southeast, the band caught the attention of Blood & Ink Records, who immediately began working to sign the band after seeing one of their great live shows. Around the same time, Dependency began working with Drew Fulk (Advent, Kingdom) to track and then Jay Maas (Defeater, Verse, Shipwreck) to mix what would become their debut EP, Convicted.

With the release of Convicted, Dependency will continue to tour and play regionally, hopefully expanding not only the reach of their music, but also the impact of their heartfelt message.
